Remembrance Day 2021

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, children and staff of St Aldhelm's shared an Act of Remembrance together.

We gathered together outside in our bubbles to reflect on those who lost their lives in the first world war and for those who have lost their lives in other wars and conflict since that time to present day.

Children created their own poppy artwork which provided the focus for their reflection during the Last Post, silence and prayers. The demonstration of understanding, reflection and gratitude was clearly evident in the respect the children showed.

Our staff and families have contributed generously to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. This will be given to our RBL local representative and go some way to support the charity's work for those affected by war.
