Circulatory System

We have been developing our understanding of the circulatory system in Science.  To help us with this, we used hands-on experience through dissection to gain a deeper understanding of the key organs and the parts they are made up of.  We used this experience to create scientific drawings of our observations.

Our Science work was linked to our class book 'Pig Heart Boy.'  This story helped us to think about whether using animal organs to prolong human life is the right thing to do.  Year 6 were fantastic at reflecting on such a huge ethical question.  We carried out research, held debates and created balanced arguments to share our understanding and thoughts.
