Year 3 Egyptian Workshop

Year 3 enjoyed a visit from the Heritage Trust to kick start their Egyptian enquiry project.

Year 3 completed a lot of activities. For one, we created a scarab amulet that we could take home. These were like good luck charms to the Egyptians. We could paint them using red, blue, green and yellow. Each colour had a special symbolic reference to the Egyptians.

We became archaeologists and had to dig through sand to find ancient artefacts!

We looked at papyrus, paper made from plants, and we baked some delicious Egyptian date bread! It tasted good. Dressing up was great fun too.
