St Aldhelm's celebrated Book Week in comfy style this year. After full on dressing up in the last few years as favourite characters and amazing words, this year, children asked if we could read in comfort. Children explored a wordless picture book called Tuesday by David Weisner and enjoyed sharing their learning between classes. On World Book Day, children enjoyed virtual sessions with amazing worldwide authors as well as choosing which story they wanted to listen to with hot chocolate and a biscuit prepared by the PTA. Another brilliant example of 'learning together for life in all its fullness'.
Year 3 and Owl Class shone at the Make the Sunshine performance of Magical Memory Jar.
Following British Science Week, we held our first highly successful Science Fair.
We are delighted to share our successful Church School Inspection Report.
Each Bath and Wells Trust school has a bear and we have named ours, John. For Number Day, he even had a costume with 10 domino spots on the front and 10 on the back to represent his biblical reference! He has been joining the learning in each class and definitely been 'Learning Together for life in all its fullness'.
On January 2nd 2024, a new exciting time for our school begins.
On Friday 2nd February, we celebrated the NSPCC's Number Day. The children (and adults) were invited to 'dress as a digit' and there was some amazing creativity shown. The children took part in a wide variety of maths activities across the day.
Across school, all children took part in celebrations to mark the historic occasion of the King's Coronation. Children were encouraged to come dressed in red, white and blue with their homemade crown and took part in a range of activities throughout the day.
